Australian Combustion Symposium 2021
21-24 November 2021, Queensland

Paper Submission and Review

Submission and reviewing guidelines follow traditions and standards adopted by the Combustion Institute and the Australian and New Zealand section of the Institute.

Submission
All regular submissions should not exceed four A4 pages (the length of invited submissions is limited by eight pages). The authors are asked to use the template below for paper submission:

ACS2021_Paper_Template

All papers intended to publication must be submitted in MS-Word format. And the accepted papers must be “camera-ready” for publication in the proceedings. By accepting publication, the authors grant the organizers a non-exclusive license to publish their work in the symposium proceedings and declare compliance of the submitted material with the relevant copyright laws. All submissions imply a permission granted to the organizers for zoom broadcasting and recording.

If the authors prefer, regular submissions can be nominated for oral presentation only --- please indicate this explicitly right next to the title in the manuscript. The submissions marked “Oral presentation only” will be listed among other presentations but will not appear in the manuscript section of the proceedings. These submissions do not need to follow the strict formatting rules adopted for the proceedings but should still have enough information to judge the scope and relevance of the planned presentations. Both MS-Word and PDF formats are acceptable for submissions intended for oral presentation only.

Papers are to be submitted by emailing to the Symposium mailbox: CombustionSymposiumANZ2021@gmail.com with the following subject line

“ACS2021-submission-1-[Family name of corresponding author].

In your email, Please indicate your preferred colloquium(s) (check the list of colloquiums here). If you wish your submission to be considered only for oral presentation, please indicate this in both your email and the attached manuscript.

Review process
There will be two stages of review for submissions:

  • The first stage is applicable to all submissions. Technically competent works of relevant scope are reviewed for oral presentation at the symposium. The works that are accepted for oral presentation and intended to be published in the proceedings are also reviewed for contribution, originality and presentation quality.
  • The second stage of reviewing applies only to papers intended for publication. The final decision on accepting papers for publication in the proceedings is to be made after submission of the final revision accompanied by the authors ’ response to the comments of the reviewers.
