Symposium mode

The Australian Combustion Symposium 2021 will be run in a hybrid mode: in person and online. The fees for each mode are listed below.

Toowoomba is not COVID-restricted, so you should be able to attend in person if you are able to fly to Brisbane or drive to Toowoomba (the regular flights direct to Toowoomba from Sydney and Melbourne have not resumed since COVID started). If you fly to Brisbane, there are regular coach services direct from Brisbane airport to Toowoomba, which cost about $30 one-way. Those who are able to attend in person will have the usual conference experience, including a nice dinner for the conference banquet, and we plan to make the online experience as close as possible to a normal conference experience.

International contributors can only participate the Symposium online.

Registration method

In considerations of the uncertaincy caused by COVID-19, we offer three ways to registrate your attendance.

  • 1. Registration for online only with full online attendant fee paid.
  • 2. Registration for face-to-face with full face-to-face attendant fee paid.
  • 3. Registration for face-to-face with instalments -- first payment: the same amount as online attendant fee. Then, the balance is due by 23:59 AEST 7/Nov/2021. Please note this option is only available for Early-bird registrations.

    Cancellation & Refund Policy

    If there’s a snap lockdown in the last fortnight, a portion of the face-to-face fee will be refunded. We’ll issue receipts upon recieving each payment, however the formal invoice will be issued at/after the conference.
